How we will start your project:
The creative process I use with all clients is based on open communication and professional understanding. I approach each project with a fresh eye, with flexibility, and with attention to subtle detail. Though each project is unique, the following describes the typical creative process—whether it involves painting a mural, creating a custom wall finish, or antiquing a piece of furniture.
- The initial meeting will take place in your home or business where we will discuss the project. I will bring with me an array of samples so that we can select the techniques and colors that might fit your vision and/or the existing furnishings. I also have a library of design resources to facilitate brain storming.
- I will use the ideas we’ve come up with to create sketches or samples of the finished product. We will examine them next to the surface to be finished to make sure they are exactly right. Another round of examples will be created if necessary.
- When a design is agreed upon, you will be provided with a comprehensive description of my service and a proposed cost. Work will be performed under either an hourly rate or a conclusive estimate.
- I am affiliated with skilled craftspeople and artists. Depending on the scope of the project, I may be accompanied by one or more helpers.
